Privacy Policy

We may create aggregated, de-identified data sets from member activity — for example, overall completion rates, confidence-score trends, and progression patterns across our membership. This data contains nothing that identifies you personally.

We may use this aggregated, de-identified data to improve the program, to conduct or support research, and to share or license it to third parties such as healthcare researchers and organizations. Because it cannot be traced back to any individual, it is not personal information.

To be clear: we never sell, rent, or license data that personally identifies you. The commitment above applies to your personal information — not to anonymous, population-level data.

UprightAfter (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

When you register for UprightAfter, we may collect:

• Name and email address
• Account login credentials
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card information)
• Basic usage information related to your interaction with the platform
• Safety Gate readiness responses submitted at 4-week intervals, including self-reported pain status, fall history, and provider instruction flags. This data is used solely to determine program progression eligibility and is stored securely in Supabase. It is never sold, rented, or shared in any form that identifies you, and never used for clinical diagnosis.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies, including advertising cookies that load only after you consent (see Cookies and Advertising below).

At the end of each 4-week program level, UprightAfter collects self-reported readiness data through the Safety Gate assessment. This includes self-reported pain status, fall history, and any provider instructions to reduce activity. This data is used solely to determine program progression eligibility. It is stored securely in Supabase with row-level security enabled. It is never sold, rented, or shared in any form that identifies you, and never used for clinical diagnosis. It is not a clinical evaluation and does not constitute a medical record.

We use your information to:

• Provide access to the UprightAfter platform
• Process subscription payments
• Communicate important account and service information
• Send program-related emails such as level completion notifications and weekly reminders
• Improve the platform and member experience

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. UprightAfter does not store your full credit card information. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

We use secure hosting, encryption, and industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. Our platform is hosted on Vercel with data stored securely in Supabase, both of which maintain enterprise-level security standards.

We use cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website. Necessary cookies are required for the site to function. Advertising and analytics cookies, including the Meta Pixel described below, load only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the privacy preferences link on our site.

With your consent, our marketing website uses the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Meta Pixel uses cookies to record activity such as the pages you view and associates it with device and browser identifiers, which is transmitted to Meta to measure our marketing and, in the future, to deliver advertising to people who have visited our website. The Meta Pixel does not load on pages where you enter health related information or manage your membership, and we do not intentionally transmit health information to Meta.

To be precise about our commitment: we never sell, rent, or license data that personally identifies you, and we never share your account, payment, or Safety Gate information for advertising. That commitment is unchanged.

Separately, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, our use of advertising cookies such as the Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money is exchanged. The information involved is limited to online identifiers, cookie and device information, and pages visited on our marketing website.

You have the right to opt out of this sharing. Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option in our cookie banner or privacy preferences center. When you opt out, the Meta Pixel does not load and no information is shared for advertising. California residents also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or rent data that personally identifies you. With your consent, we use advertising cookies that involve “sharing” of limited online identifiers as defined under California law — see California Privacy Rights and Your Opt-Out above. Apart from that, we share information only with the trusted service providers below, solely to operate the platform:

You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time. To do so, contact us through our support form and we will process your request within 10 business days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
